Save Money On Your Medicare

Save Money On Your Medicare

1. Lower Your Premiums

You might be surprised how often we find people who are overpaying for their plan. Things are changing all of the time, so if you aren’t current on what is happening, you may be losing money.

As a comparison, think of a cell phone carrier that leaves you on an old service plan. As an existing customer, you are paying more for your plan than a new customer until you take action.

Sometimes the same things happens with Medicare insurance. Other times, you have to consider a new carrier that has lower premiums or is offering more value for the same premium.

2. Lower Your Prescription Costs

Prescription drug costs can sometimes be the runaway costs of Medicare plans. If you don’t review every prescription you are taking with your plan, you could negate any savings you were hoping for on premiums or health copays.

The Medicare Store collects information on your prescriptions then uses software to check the cost of your prescriptions with the Medicare plans in your area. We then give you a projection of your annual drug costs based on your plan, your prescriptions, and your preferred pharmacy.

We have often saved our clients thousands of dollars in prescription drug costs by switching plans.

3. Qualify for Cost Reducing Programs

Both federal and state governments offer Low-Income Subsidy programs. If you qualify, you could save money on your Prescription drug costs, Medicare Part B premium, and even have reduced copays and coinsurance when you see a doctor or go to the hospital.

We review your situation and recommend programs that you may qualify for.

4. Avoid Mistakes That Cause Medicare Penalties

Perhaps you’ve already heard, but Medicare will penalize you for making mistakes in your enrollment. If you miss deadlines for enrollment into Medicare Part A, B, or D, you can face penalties.

Most of the penalties for Medicare are lifetime penalties. That means that one mistake can cost you for the rest of your life.

Avoiding mistakes and penalties is an important way that we help you save money today and for the rest of your life.

5. Lower Your Out-of-Pocket Costs

Medicare Advantage plans file their plans with Medicare for one calendar year at a time. That means that every year, there can be changes to the plan benefits and premiums.

We stay current on what is happening and make sure that you are getting the most value.

It’s not easy to keep up with all of the changes unless it’s what you do for a living, but that’s us. Medicare Insurance is what we do all day, every day!

6. Get Extra Benefits That Save You Money

Medicare Advantage plans often offer compelling extra benefits not offered by Original Medicare that can save you money.

Your Medicare Advantage plan might cover things like:

  • Dental, Vision, and Hearing Aid coverage
  • Chiropractic and/or acupuncture coverage
  • Transportation to health-related services such as a doctor’s office
  • An allowance for buying over-the-counter items like vitamins, medications, and first aid items
  • Adult day-care services

Not every Medicare Advantage plan offers extra benefits and services vary by plan and area. That’s why you want to shop around and compare what is available.

7. Find a Plan That Has All of Your Doctors In-Network

If there is a plan available that has all of the doctors and specialists you see in the network, that can save you money.

Sometimes we find that people are paying out-of-network to see a doctor or specialist and that can be expensive.

When you give us a list of doctors and other medical providers that are important to you we go to work finding which Medicare plans they accept.

This is one of the most important and time-consuming tasks that we do for you.

8.  Get Out-of-Network and/or Travel Coverage

Do you travel or have residences in multiple states? The answer to this question can be an important factor in choosing a Medicare plan.

If you travel domestically or internationally, it’s important to have medical coverage that travels with you.

While most Medicare plans will cover domestic travel, you may have to be more selective if you want coverage for emergencies when traveling internationally.

We are insurance agents certified by insurance companies to represent their Medicare plans. They compensate us to help you. You can do it yourself, or you can use our help. Either way, you will pay the same premium for you Medicare plan.

We sure hope you will choose us as it is our sincere desire to do what is right for each and every person on Medicare.
